Edgebrook Chamber of Commerce — Mission Statement

The Edgebrook Chamber of Commerce is an organization of volunteer business professionals  dedicated to maintain and improve the vitality of local businesses so they can better serve the  residents of the Edgebrook, North Edgebrook, Wildwood and Indian Woods communities.

The Chamber acts as your voice with city, county, state and federal agencies and governmental officials that impact your business on a daily basis and seeks to promote and support your business development.  At the local level of government, Edgebrook is lucky to have 39th Ward Alderman Margaret Laurino and 41st Ward Alderman Anthony Napolitano representing us and working with us to solve your business issues.  At the county and state level of government, Edgebrook is fortunate to have Cook County Commissioners Bridget Gainer (10th District) and Peter Silvestri (9th District), State Representative John C. D’Amico (15th District) and State Senator Ira Silverstein (8th District) advocating for Edgebrook’s business community as well.

The Chamber also acts as a business liaison for you with the City of Chicago’s Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP).  The Chamber can help you with business licensing, building permits, zoning issues, loading zone permits and many other issues you may run into while operating a business in Chicago.

The Chamber seeks to reactivate long-vacant storefronts and open a productive dialogue with landlords who are willing to explore ways to return these commercial properties to productive re-use.  In so doing, new jobs will be created, more retail opportunities will be available to community residents to meet their shopping needs and these properties will once again pay their fair share of the county property taxes.  However, the Chamber can only help if property owners are willing to work with the Chamber to make it happen.

The Chamber also works to enhance the image, appearance and vitality of the Edgebrook’s downtown through the Cook County Sheriff’s Office SWAP cleanup program and the chamber’s acclaimed Street Banner program.

HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF HOW THE CHAMBER CAN BENEFIT YOUR BUSINESS:

Annual Membership Directory:

The annual membership directory is a business listing for chamber members only.  In 2015, over 5,500 copies will be hand-distributed to residents on Chicago’s northwest side, nearby communities, local businesses, community groups, banks, aldermanic offices, and restaurants.

Support our community by choosing a local business!

Support our members by buying locally in Edgebrook. Check the membership directory to see if one of them can supply what you need right here in Edgebrook. Keep our community strong.
